Peru Is Calling: 5 Reasons to Answer the Call
Yoga, creativity, ancient wisdom, and a little magic in the magnificent Andes.

I've led more than 20 international retreats, and I've learned that magic always happens when we step away from the familiar and give ourselves permission to explore.
Creating a safe, nurturing space where people can experience wild outer AND inner adventures isn't just what I do. It's my passion. My expertise. And one of my greatest joys.
I LOVE watching people arrive carrying the weight of their everyday lives, only to leave a little (or a lot) lighter, brighter, braver, and more connected to themselves.
And after all these years, I'm still a sucker for a good adventure!
As someone who has recently navigated breast cancer and recovery, I've come to appreciate even more deeply the extraordinary gift of feeling alive in my body. Give me breathtaking natural beauty, ancient wisdom, a comfortable bed, delicious food, soulful connections, and a little mystery, and I'm in heaven.
Which brings me to Peru's Sacred Valley.
Usually, I only lead retreats in places I've already visited, experienced firsthand, and fallen madly in love with their beauty and magic.
But sometimes, a place starts calling long before you've set foot there.
That's exactly what happened with Willka T'ika, a remarkable wellness retreat center nestled in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Because I share so much of my international retreat experiences on social media, retreat centers around the world regularly reach out to me. Most don't stay on my radar for very long.
But Willka T'ika was different.

Peru had already been tickling my imagination. It is one of the few places where a living spiritual culture still sits on top of an ancient one. In the Andes, the mountains are not scenery. They are apus, living guardians who have watched over this valley for thousands of years. And the earth herself is Pachamama, a mother who gives unconditionally and asks us to give back. Here, that principle has a name, ayni: nothing is taken without being offered, and no one is held alone.
So, when this exceptional sanctuary appeared in my inbox, something stirred.
I visited their website. Then I went back. And back again.
The desire to experience this magical place kept growing, until finally I decided to follow that little spark of curiosity and say YES.
And what a place to say yes to!
Willka T'ika has received glowing recognition from publications including Vogue, CNN Travel, Travel + Leisure, and Yoga Journal. But beyond the accolades, what captured my heart was the promise of an experience rooted in beauty, nature, ancient traditions, and conscious living.
So, I've created Reignite Your Spark in the Sacred Valley of Peru✨a seven-day yoga, creativity, and wellness retreat from March 20–27, 2027.
A week for the body, the muse, and the soul.
And I'd LOVE for you to join us.
5 Reasons Why My Sacred Valley Peru Retreat Is for YOU
1. PAUSE. Say Goodbye to Your Mental Load.
When was the last time you gave yourself permission to simply BE?
Not plan. Not organize. Not anticipate everyone else's needs. Not mentally run through tomorrow's to-do list while pretending to relax.
Just BE.
For one glorious week, you get to put down the invisible backpack you've been carrying.
There's an itinerary. There are experienced guides and teachers. There are delicious meals you don't have to prepare or clean up afterward.
Nothing to figure out. No problems to solve.
Your biggest decision might be whether to linger in a beautiful garden, curl up with your journal, or simply sit and gaze at the magnificent Andes.
Imagine that!
Sometimes the most radical adventure is giving yourself permission to do absolutely nothing.
2. GROUND. Come Home to Your Body.
Our bodies are extraordinary. They carry us through joy and heartbreak, challenges and triumphs, illness and healing.
And yet, how often do we actually stop and LISTEN to them?
At our Sacred Valley yoga retreat, we'll begin each day with practices designed to help us reconnect with our bodies, our breath, and the present moment.
Through Kundalini and Yin Yoga, we'll explore the beautiful balance between energy and stillness, strength and surrender, movement and rest.
And imagine practicing yoga in Willka T'ika's enchanting Chakra Garden, surrounded by singing flowers, living mountains, and the aromas of nature.
Whether you're a seasoned yogi or simply curious about deepening your practice, you are welcome.
No pressure. No competition. No need to perform.
Just you, your breath, and the magnificent mountains reminding you that you belong to something much bigger than your daily worries.
Add nourishing meals, spectacular natural surroundings, and the simple pleasure of being cared for, and your whole being may just breathe a little easier.
Isn't that something we could all use?
3. CONNECT. Find Your People.
One of my favorite things about leading retreats is watching strangers become friends.
It can feel like somewhat of a spiritual homecoming to gathering with people who share a longing for peace, beauty, authenticity, and meaningful connection.
No need to impress anyone. No need to pretend you've got everything figured out.
Come as you are.
Over shared meals, mountain adventures, visits to local markets, yoga, writing, and conversations that wander from the hilarious to the profound, we'll create the kind of community that reminds us how good it feels to truly belong.
And we'll connect with something else, too.
Pachamama.
The ancient traditions of the Andes.
Local weaving communities, like the Q’ero, who still pass down textile traditions in which patterns carry spiritual meaning, connecting the very fabric of our lives with cosmic intelligence.
Through traditional Andean rituals and ceremonies guided by local healers, we'll have the opportunity to embody the wisdom of this extraordinary place with openness, curiosity, and respect.
Because sometimes connecting more deeply with the world around us helps us reconnect with the world within–the parts of ourselves longing to be remembered.

4. EXPAND. Awaken Your Muse and Your Sense of Adventure.
Here's something I believe with my whole heart:
There is SO much more inside you than your everyday life allows you to express.
More creativity. More courage. More curiosity. More wonder.
And sometimes all it takes to unlock those hidden treasures is a change of scenery and a little encouragement.
That's why creative writing is such an important part of my retreats.
Our no-pressure Creative Writing Workshops are not about becoming a published author or producing a literary masterpiece–although they may give you the inspiration and motivation to do so.
They're about giving voice to what's stirring inside you.
Maybe the mountains awaken a long-forgotten dream.
Maybe a sacred ceremony opens a door to an unexpected breakthrough.
Maybe a conversation over dinner reminds you of a part of yourself you haven't visited in years.
Whatever emerges, we'll give it room to breathe.
And because this is Peru, our inner adventures will be accompanied by some pretty spectacular OUTER ones!
Majestic mountains. Colorful local markets. Ancient culture. Breathtaking landscapes. The delicious thrill of discovering somewhere entirely new.
Adventure has a funny way of reminding us that we're not finished becoming who we are.
Not even close.
5. RE-ENCHANT. Bring the Magic Home.
I don't believe a truly wonderful retreat should end when you pack your suitcase.
Yes, I want you to experience beauty, ease, laughter, and moments that take your breath away.
But more than that, I want you to return home with something that STAYS.
A renewed relationship with your body.
A deeper connection to your creativity.
New friendships.
A few simple practices to help you find your center when everyday life gets noisy again.
And perhaps, most importantly, a fresh sense of possibility.
Because the spark isn't actually in Peru.
Peru simply helps us remember where to find it.
It's already inside YOU.
And sometimes we need to travel halfway around the world to remember that.
Our Home in the Sacred Valley: The Magical Willka T'ika
High in Peru's Sacred Valley, where the Andes rise into silence and the air itself feels ancient, sits a sanctuary that seems almost too beautiful to be real.
Willka T'ika specializes in luxurious wellness retreats rooted in nature, ceremony, and reflection.
Its sustainable retreat center is nestled in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a place long revered for its spiritual significance and breathtaking natural beauty.
And the gardens!
Imagine wandering through lush greenery, discovering quiet corners for reflection, and practicing yoga surrounded by the magnificent Andean mountains.
This isn't just a pretty place to stay.
It's an invitation to unplug, slow down, and reconnect with the things that make you feel most ALIVE.
During our week together, we'll enjoy:
Kundalini, Yin and Vinyasa Yoga to open, ground, and reconnect with our bodies.
Creative Writing Workshops to awaken our muse and give voice to whatever the mountains inspire.
Traditional Andean ceremonies guided by local healers, connecting us with the ancient wisdom of this sacred land.
Mountain adventures and local markets to embody the beauty, culture, and spirit of Peru.
Delicious meals and soulful conversations shared with a community of kindred seekers.
Time to rest, reflect, and simply BE, without the demands and distractions of everyday life.
A little structure. A lot of freedom.
And absolutely no requirement to become a different person before you arrive.
You're already enough.
We're simply making space for more of YOU to shine.

And What About Machu Picchu?
I know, I know!
How can we travel all the way to Peru without thinking about Machu Picchu?
While a visit to this legendary Inca citadel is not included in our week-long retreat itinerary, we're exploring the possibility of an optional excursion for those who want to extend their adventure.
My fearless friend and longtime collaborator, Melissa, is interested in accompanying a group just after our time together ends, and Willka T'ika can help coordinate transportation and a guide.
It would be a LONG, adventure-filled day, with an early start, plenty of travel, and an experience you'll likely remember forever.
Because access to Machu Picchu is regulated and tickets are limited, arrangements would need to be made well in advance--like, by the end of October.
If this is on your bucket list, let me know as early as possible so we can explore the possibilities together!
Is This Sacred Valley Peru Wellness Retreat Calling YOU?
Maybe you've been craving a break from the noise.
Maybe your body is asking for rest.
Maybe your muse has been whispering to you for years, and you've been too busy to listen.
Or maybe there's simply a little voice inside saying, Peru. Yes. THAT.
I encourage you to listen.
After leading more than 20 international retreats, I've learned that the most meaningful journeys aren't necessarily the ones that take us the farthest from home.
They're the ones that bring us closer to ourselves.
And I would be honored to hold space for YOUR journey.
